A program accredited by MEDEK, by making adjustments to the education plan and including its students in the Workplace Vocational Training (3+1) application for one semester, does not require the cancellation of the existing accreditation.
Programs may update their education plans in line with institutional objectives, relevant legislation, and the quality assurance approach. Changing the semesters of courses, rearranging course content, or including Workplace Vocational Training in the education plan alone does not constitute a negative situation in terms of accreditation.
What matters is that the changes made are in compliance with MEDEK criteria, preserve the integrity of the quality assurance processes without negatively affecting the program’s education-training quality, program outcomes, and graduate competencies, and are planned in a way that improves the program’s quality.
Within this framework, including the transition to the Workplace Vocational Training (3+1) application, education plan changes that preserve or improve the program’s quality and continue to meet MEDEK criteria do not prevent the continuation of the current accreditation.
